Summary[]
VINCENT RISKS BEING EXPOSED – Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Cat (Kristin Kreuk) fight to reclaim some normalcy to their lives, even as the threats of a beast bounty and a DHS manhunt loom. Meanwhile, Tess (Nina Lisandrello) takes a huge risk by protecting Vincent from a nosy reporter (Melissa Tan).
Plot[]
While dodging drones on the roof, Vincent informs Catherine that they are getting close to identifying the beast buyer. He gets a text from Dawes to go to the Stonefish Tavern in 20 minutes. Vincent kisses Cat goodbye and blurs away. Catherine goes to her office and finds Grace Rose. The reporter knows that Vincent was in the super-soldier-program, about DHS’s manhunt, Deputy Secretary Hill hired Graydal Securities to capture Vincent and that Vincent killed Hill. Grace offers to protect Cat if she comes clean. Cat tries to stop Grace from going ahead with her exclusive by getting Tess to arrest her. At the Stonefish Tavern, Vincent goes to the back room to meet up with Kane, Dawes and four other Graydal operatives. Vincent learns the mission is to capture the beast. Then Tess and the NYPD raid the bar. The Graydal operatives escape. Vincent blurs to the back alley, where JT waits in Catherine’s car to take him to safety. JT takes Vincent to Cat’s apartment. Cat has a go back packed so they can get away from Grace. Vincent wants to return to Graydal to find the bounty hunter’s identity. Grace accuses Tess of raiding the tavern at Cat’s request without probable cause. Catherine and Vincent arrive at a remote cabin in Vermont. Cat explains her plan to keep him away from Graydal and Grace Rose to reduce exposure. Cat explains that they are never going to get their lives back. Neither DHS or the NYPD will ever take Cat back, even if they prove Vincent killed Hill in self-defense. Cat adds that the hospital couldn’t afford to take Vincent back after he was a murder suspect. Back in the City, JT hacks Grace Rose’s computer. He learns Grace knows about Vincent dating Tori, Vincent being the Vigilante, Agent Russo, Deputy Secretary Hill, Tess, Catherine, Heather, JT and Vincent worked for New York General Hospital. JT wants to protect Tess from having to cover up his hacking. Tess is tired of JT trying to protect her. Back in Vermont woods, Vincent and Catherine talk about how they can’t hide forever. One day, DHS or bounty hunters were bound to catch them. So they form a new plan to come out of hiding – with Grace Rose’s help. Vincent and Cat call Grace and offer to give her an exclusive if she agreed to protect her sources. Grace agrees to interview them because it will give her the credibility to publish her story. Grace was unaware that Graydal tapped her phone and followed to the cabin. Vincent sensed someone out in the woods right as a flash grenade is tossed in. To make matters worse, Graydal now knows that Vincent is the beast. Kane identifies himself and tosses in another flash grenade. Vincent tells Cat to take Grace to the hospital. Cat doesn’t want to leave Vincent. Kane sends in another flash grenade. Vincent yells at Cat to breathe. Kane, satisfied that only Vincent is alive, waits for the beast to come out. Vincent blurs past him to the woods with Kane in hot purist. Vincent doges grenades right into Kane’s trap – a net designed to capture beasts. Once captured, Kane tranqs him three times. Cat arrives to save Vincent, but not before Kane sends a text message to Graydal that Keller is the beast. Cat lowers her weapon long enough for Kane to shoot near her. Cat jumps out of the way and shoots him dead. Cat gets Vincent out of the net. Vincent tells her to go take care of Grace. Cat informs him that Grace is dead. The next day, Cat and various Vermont police officers investigate the crime scene. Lt. Maron, a Vermont State Trooper[1], hands Cat back her badge and acknowledges that she checks out. Back in the City, JT informs Tess of Grace Rose’s death and the fact that she was in Vermont with Cat and Vincent. Tess wants to resign. JT says Tess is not responsible for Grace. Tess argues that she is responsible for “knowing” what happened. JT argues that going forward he, Vincent and Cat will keep Tess out of the loop to protect her. JT says that if their paths cross on a case they should arrest him if it keeps her from resigning. Tess says she’ll think about it, kisses JT and puts her badge back on her desk. Over by the train tracks, Vincent kisses Cat and goes to Graydal. Inside, Dawes orders his men to hack Cat’s computer and tail her car. Vincent enters and surrenders himself. |
