Summary[]
VINCENT HAS A TARGET ON HIS BACK – While working to uncover who is after Vincent (Jay Ryan), Cat (Kristin Kreuk) discovers she might be pregnant. A lead Vincent follows puts his life in jeopardy. Meanwhile, J.T. (Austin Basis) gets kidnapped in a case of mistaken identity.
Plot[]
Heather and JT decorate Catherine’s new office. While Heather worries about plants, JT worries about databases and security. JT decides to handle the beast conspiracy blog alone. Newly-minted DHS Agent Cat goes to Deputy Hill’s office where she finds he is missing. Deputy Hill was just taken hostage along with his wife and daughter. And the perpetrator is a beast bounty hunter. Hill refuses to divulge the beast’s identity. Said beast and Cat arrive just in time to rescue him and send the bounty hunter over the balcony. Hill discovers that Albert Toland is a confidential informant. Toland is an accountant for international criminal Dmitri Voynov, who Hill suspects of being behind the beast bounties. Toland is willing to provide information about Voynov, but they have to approach him discretely. So Catherine and Vincent go undercover as soon-to-be-parents to Manhattan Chelsea Academy, a private school where Toland’s kids study. JT calls up a meeting with the bloggers (who posted Hill’s involvement with beasts) and intimidates them by pretending to be a DHS agent. The bloggers don’t believe he is a government agent, instead they suspect him of being the beast. So they kidnap and chain him in an attempt to film him while he beasts out. After JT tells the bloggers his story (leaving out the beast parts) they let him go. Back at Manhattan Chelsea Academy, Catherine has another pregnancy scare but Vincent doesn’t know. So while Cat contemplates a future with kids, Vincent mulls over how he is not ready to be a dad. Toland gets kidnapped from the school before Vincent and Cat can get to him. Catherine takes Judy Toland and her two kids to her apartment while they track down her abducted husband. It turns out to be hard because fog and children’s screams interfere with Vincent’s tracking. Eventually, he manages to track Toland, but just as he “rescues” him, JT finds out that Toland is in fact an assassin posing as an accountant. Vincent realizes the kidnapping was a trap designed to lure him out to a junkyard. Toland manages to shoot him. Vincent pumps Toland for information where he learns that whoever is behind the beast bounty is has now put a hit out on Vincent. Vincent blurs around the junkyard to keep from being killed but his trail of blood leads Toland right to him. Toland is about to kill Vincent when Catherine shows up and kills Toland first. Catherine brings Vincent to the hospital, where they patch him up. Vincent doesn’t want to stay for any blood tests so he rips out his IVs and leans on Cat as they walk to the car. That night, at Il Cantuccio’s back room, JT and Tess play some pool. Tess admits that she still cares about him and wants him to be himself. JT asks if she came all this way to give him a pep talk. Tess says yes and for free beer. Back at home, Catherine takes a pregnancy test. Vincent admits that he doesn’t not want kids but the idea of his hypothetical kids inheriting his cross-species DNA scares him. With the pregnancy scare out of the way, they can focus all their anxiety on beast bounties. |
