Summary[]
CAT AND VINCENT ARE DETERMINED TO HUNT DOWN LIAM – When Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) make it their mission to capture Liam (guest star Jason Gedrick), they find information about a Patient X that they might be able to use to help them find him. Meanwhile, JT (Austin Basis) and Tess (Nina Lisandrello) work to confirm that JT is serum free.

Catherine feels guilty for walking away from her “responsibility” stop Liam. Vincent “relies on her” and it is okay for Cat to “rely on him” from time to time too. Cat delivers her preliminary profile on Liam to Vincent. JT is not happy about being in protective custody. He still obsesses about why Liam wants to kill him. JT gives Alton a call. Unfortunately, Alton can’t shed any light on Liam’s motives. “Dr.” Liam approaches Mrs. Potts, a sweet sick old lady, and offers to ease her pain. He uses Mrs. Potts' oxygen tank to blow up the room. Which happens to be right next to Alton’s. JT gets unexpected call to go to the university. Vincent points out that it might be a trap. So, Vincent sits in JT’s office at the university and pretends to be JT. He does this by putting on glasses, a hat and a flannel shirt and sitting in JT’s office. Vincent’s disguise gets him a close encounter with a student who was paid $100 to walk in on Professor Forbes. They decide to move JT to a motel where Captain Vargas guards his room. Vincent and Catherine split up to investigate in their own ways. Cat finds a John Doe in Queens who could be Julianna’s “Patient X” and decides to pay him a visit. In the meantime, Vincent tracks Liam. After a brief conversation, Cat realizes Patient X is Russell Keaton, Julianna’s younger brother. Russell says he injected himself to protect Julianna from Liam. Cat hears a noise outside and tells Russell to get down she raises her gun to find Vincent. Vincent runs in the room informing them of a bomb in the closet. Vincent, Catherine and Russell escape to the parking garage. Vincent “channels” Liam again. Cat brings Russell to the precinct to keep him safe. Russell tells Vincent and Cat that he has only been able to stay alive by moving often. Catherine calls Tess and tells her and JT to leave the motel and stay on the move and go across water because that makes it harder to track. Later, Liam arrives at the motel and destroys the door. He tracks JT leaving. After stealing Catherine’s gun and forcing Cat to cuff herself to the table, Russell takes off after Liam. Russell goes to the abandoned brewery where JT and Tess are hiding. Liam soon follows and bombs the brewery. At the brewery, Vincent snaps at Cat when she says she’d rather arrest Liam then kill him. JT and Tess escape from Liam and take off when they hear an explosion. Vincent and Cat search for JT and Tess with no luck. Liam corners Tess and JT. Just when terrorist is about to kill them, Vincent attacks him and beasts out. Liam beasts out as well. To quote Liam, “This changes everything”. After Liam’s attack, Tess vents to Cat about having to worry about “keeping her boyfriend safe.” Cat is happy to hear that they are back together. Tess is too, even if it means she has to spend the next few months safe house hoping. Catherine arrives home and finds Vincent sulking on the couch. He apologises for his behaviour and confesses Liam sent him on a primal downward-spiral. Vincent hates himself for acting “like a predator”. Cat is confident Vincent will overcome his beast urges. They kiss and hug and it is a tender moment, but behind Cat’s back Vincent is terrified of what this means for him. |
