Love is a Battlefield is the eight episode of the Fourth Season, and the 65th episode overall.

Summary

ANNALYNNE MCCORD GUEST STARS – Vincent (Jay Ryan) goes undercover with a sexy operative (guest star AnnaLynne McCord), who Cat (Kristin Kreuk) discovers is an assassin. Vincent has to play both sides, while Cat has to convince DHS she can still be trusted.

Plot

SPOILERS AHEAD

Vincent goes undercover to find the beast hunter and destroy Graydal from the inside. Catherine is a nervous wreck not knowing if Vincent is okay. So Cat goes to her boss at DHS, Agent Olivia Dylan, who is determined to catch Vincent. JT arranges a meeting for Vincent and Catherine at the botanical gardens’ conservatory. They don’t get to do much more then kiss because a helicopter cuts the reunion short. At Graydal, Dawes pairs Vincent up with sexy operative, Diane Vaughn. Their mission is to steal fitness trackers from a couple on Long Island. To get into the pool party, “Keith” and “Linda Vanderbilt” have to pretend to be married. Agent Dylan and Catherine track down Vincent and crash the party to arrest him/warn him. “Linda” attacks Dylan, while “Keith” pushes Cat in the pool to “maintain his cover”. Vincent and Vaughn take the watches back to Graydal. Dawes instructs Diane to test Vincent’s loyalty, “one way or another”.   At the hospital Catherine checks on Dylan who decides to trust Cat. Olivia explains that Vaughn is a hit woman wanted by Interpol on multiple charges. At the Gentlemen’s Club, JT searches the government databases. Meanwhile Heather searches social media to figure out Vincent’s next step. Vincent and Vaughn break into the Lewises’ home with the watches that act as keys. Once inside Vaughn breaks into the safe, takes a flash-drive and triggers the silent alarm. When the security guard comes in, Vaughn tells Vincent to kill him to prove his loyalties. Vincent strangles the guard. Catherine comes around the back, Vaughn goes to check it out. While she’s gone, Vincent resurrects the guard with a homemade defibrillator. Cat and gets into a fight with Vaughn. The confrontation culminates with Vaughn falling onto her own knife. Vincent and Cat can hear sirens approaching, so they escape to maintain their covers. At DHS, Dylan informs Catherine that she is aware that Vincent was at the crime scene. Olivia is unclear on why Vincent saved the guard after he killed him. Back at Graydal, Dawes is not happy about Vaughn. Vincent hands him the flash drive and leaves. That night at Vincent and Cat have a rendezvous in the tunnels. They agree to check in with each other. Not much else is said because they get distracted by… other things.
