Summary[]
VINCENT AND CAT MEET THE IDEAL COUPLE — When two married agents (Alan Van Sprang and Natasha Henstridge) from the FBI take over an investigation, Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) hope they are seeing a future version of themselves but fear their work schedules are jeopardizing their relationship. When the two couples bond and team up on the case, a mysterious coincidence surfaces that raises suspicions. JT (Austin Basis) investigates whether he has super powers of his own while Tess (Nina Lisandrello) considers a career move. Meanwhile, Heather (Nicole Gale Anderson) offers up an interesting option to make her big sister’s life a little easier.

Vincent comes home to find Catherine’s apartment all lit with candles and wine waiting. Vincent is exhausted from his shift at the hospital and lays down on the couch. Cat climbs on top of him and says they should only talk about them for the night. In the middle of her sentence he fell asleep. The next day, Catherine vents to Tess about Vincent but she has bigger problems: finding Agent Thomas’ shooter. Until Captain Ward hands the case over to DHS Agents Bob and Carol Hall. At the Chandler apartment, Heather comes over to visit her sister but finds Vincent asleep on the couch. Vincent realizes that he has been there all night and that he ruined date night. Heather appoints herself Vincent and Catherine “wedding planner”. She is determined to recycle her already planned wedding. At the precinct, Ward tells Tess to not let Catherine ruin her shot at becoming Captain. That night, Catherine comes home to find all the lights out with a few glowing candles and a prescription for “us” time from Vincent. Cat heads to the roof to find Vincent with a bottle of wine. Vincent apologizes for sleeping through date night. Cat tells Vincent that she is not really dropping the case even though DHS has taken it over. Vincent hands her Heather’s wedding binder, saying they have to thin it out to be what they want but a lot of tedious research is already done. Cat likes the idea but doesn’t much of a chance to respond because Vincent hears a gun cock. He tells her to get down and tosses up the table as a bullet hits the wine bottle. After a quick investigation, they move to the houseboat. Cat thinks they should use Heather’s wedding minus the lace, pink and frilly flowers. Vincent said he is game. At the Gentlemen’s Club, JT is in the middle of a scientific elimination process to rule out potential serum induced abilities. At the hospital, Catherine and Vincent investigate Agent Thomas’ room. Dr. Keller helps her break into the crime scene to look for clues. Once inside Thomas’s room, they realize a sniper killed him. The sniper used some sort of super-ricocheting-bullet with an impossible angle, the same kind of bullet they found on their roof. Bob and Carol bust them. The Halls take the crime scene trespassers back to the precinct. The agents go all bad cop/bad cop on Vincent and Catherine. Bob and Carol lay off when they notice Vincent and Catherine are a couple and sympathize because they are married. So, they team up to solve the case together. The only possible building from where the sniper could have taken the shot belongs to a drug-lord, Julio Espinoza. While Vincent and Bob run point from the Gentlemen’s Club, Cat and Carol go undercover as call girls. Carol and Cat break into Julio’s study, neutralize Julio’s security team with their stiletto heels and steal the penthouse’s security footage on a jump drive. The girls meet with their respective men. They notice how similar they are. Bob and Carol are about to take the drive to the DHS, but Vincent convinces them to have JT look at it first. JT never gets to analyse the drive because someone literally shoots it out of his hand. So it’s back to the hospital for JT. Vincent and Catherine are in a momentary high, thinking that they found the perfect couple to double-date. They even consider letting them in on their beast secret over dinner at the houseboat. However, Vincent has a change of heart. Cat tries to call the DHS to cancel their dinner plans only to find out that there are no “Bob” and “Carol” there. While analysing the bullet, JT realizes that there are two shooters. He calls Vincent to tell him. Catherine puts two and two together and realizes that Bob and Carol are the shooters. Bob and Carol swim up to the houseboat and attach a bomb and swim up to the dock. They change and ring the doorbell in dry clothes with a bottle of wine. Catherine and Vincent excuse themselves to the bedroom and go upstairs to try to figure out a game plan. Bob and Carol walk in on them. Cat asks them who they really work for. Bob and Carol notice something is off and attack Vincent and Cat first. Cat goes against Carol but she anticipates her every move. Same happens to Bob and Vincent. With their backs against the wall, Cat tells Vincent “Now would be a good time.” Vincent beasts out and sends Bob flying through the roof. Cat takes advantage of Carol’s shock and throws her down the stairs. The Halls run away. Cat asks if they are running from them or something else. Vincent hears the ticking and tells Cat to run. They dive into the water just as the boat explodes. On land, Tess passes the Captain’s exam and interview. Over at the Gentlemen’s Club, JT realizes that he can heal himself. Meanwhile, Catherine goes out on a park stroll with Heather, unaware she is in Bob’s literal crosshairs. Heather comes to terms with the end of her engagement. Cat realises that a wedding is not something you “get out of the way”. Carol stops Bob because they “need her to get to him”. |
