Summary[]
VINCENT AND CAT END UP ON OPPOSITE SIDES – Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Cat (Kristin Kreuk) discover that there is another nemesis out to get Vincent, which brings the gang closer together in more ways than one. Cat and Vincent are forced on opposite sides of the law, which puts their relationship in jeopardy.
Plot[]
Catherine joins Vincent in the shower, it is a romantic moment between the married couple until Heather, JT and Tess bang on the door also trying to shower. While the gang argues over who’s shirt and shoes are whose, we learn that everyone lives at the Gentlemen’s Club for protection from the beast buyer and the beast hitman. Catherine and Vincent meet with Deputy Secretary Hill at a parking garage. Hill believes that Vincent’s former commanding officer, Fuller, is behind the beast hits. Hill needs Vincent to go undercover to a military base to get proof. On their way from leaving meeting, Cat and Vincent notices that Grace Rose is following them. Thanks to Cat’s driving and Vincent’s chain cutting and blurring, they lose the news van. Heather drops off Vincent’s old uniform to Cat’s office. Heather wants to be in the loop but Cat and Vincent explain that the less she knows the better, especially when she is dating an exposure risk like Kyle. With blogs, Twitter, and now Grace Rose going after the beast story, Tess is suspicious when JT gets an out of the blue job offer. Tess wants to tag along for the interview. JT still bitter from the last time he went undercover and he got beaten up by nerds. At Il Cantuccio, JT sits down for his interview with a cute representative. “Captain Chandler” infiltrates Fort Durning with a flash-drive that Hill gave him, with Catherine on comms as back up. Unfortunately, Cat gets an untimely visit from two DHS Internal Affairs agents and is forced to go radio silence, leaving Vincent to fend for himself. IA Agents Murphy and Trahn ask Cat a lot of questions about Vincent, revealing that Hill painted the picture of a disturbed vet with PTSD and terrorism tendencies. Cat realizes that sending Vincent after Fuller was a set up. At Fort Durning, Vincent confronts Fuller. Fuller denies ordering the hit on Vincent and the others. Vincent attacks Fuller. For a while, it looks like Vincent will kill him, but Fuller appeals to his good nature. He tells him that back in Afghanistan, he hesitated to kill him because he was different. He still had good in him and that’s why he spared him. Vincent realizes that Fuller isn’t lying, and that Hill set him up just as the flash drive detonates. Vincent stays to help Fuller, instead of running away. Until Fuller orders him to do just that. Vincent runs to Cat’s office where Hill tranqs him. Hill takes Vincent to a deserted warehouse and pumps him up adrenaline. As it turns out, Hill caved under the pressure of the beast cover-up and decided to put an end to it all. The first part of his plan was to make Vincent look like a domestic terrorist - a bomb would do that. The second was to make Vincent beast out so he could shoot him in “self-defense”. Over at the DHS parking garage, Catherine demands to be taken to Vincent. Cat explains that her husband isn’t dangerous but he can be if she isn’t with him. After stealing Agent Trahn’s gun and convincing Agent Murphy to let her save Vincent and Fuller, Cat takes off with the keys and Trahn’s gun. At Catherine’s office, JT and Tess run in to find the tranq darts and realize Vincent was set up. At the warehouse, Vincent tries to warn Hill, begs him to leave before it is too late but Hill doesn’t listen. After the adrenaline kicks in, Vincent transforms and breaks his chains. Hill quickly discovers that a gun is not enough to stop a beast… Vincent gains the upper hand and grabs Hill by the neck. Catherine arrives and tries to stop him, but the Vincent couldn’t fight the adrenaline and snaps Hill’s neck. Vincent escapes the scene of the crime. Catherine goes home to pack him a go bag and then meet him at their rendezvous point. Outside her apartment, Cat assures Heather that she would let her know if this was goodbye. Grace and her news van cut the sisterly moment short. Heather sticks bananas up Grace’s tail pipe so that she and her news van couldn’t follow Cat. Cat waits under the East River Overpass for Vincent with the go bag and tranq in hand. Vincent blurs by, still in savage mode. Seeing Cat, Vincent transforms to his normal self. Cat reunites with Vincent. They will do what it takes to survive. |
Quotes[]
J.T.: You stuck bananas up Grace Rose's tailpipe? Where'd you learn that, Beverly Hills Cop?
Heather: Never heard of it.
J.T.: Classic movie starring Eddie Murphy. (quizzical look from Heather) He was the donkey from Shrek. Know what, forget it. Wherever you got the idea, it was a good one.
